GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:
The terrain on Elbrus is not extremely technical. Several short pitches of no more than 40 degrees will be found, but generally slopes average a modest 30 degrees. Natural hazards exist, including rocks, crevasses and variable snow conditions, from corn, powder, sastrugi, ice to breakable crust. Due to these hazards, combined with the strenuous nature of riding at 5000m , we require that the participants be advanced skiers or snowboarders; preferably with some off- piste experience.
Your guides speak Russian, English, German, French, Norwegian, Swedish and Danish.
You will be in the mountains all day. So layer up. Bring a facemask!
Beacon, Shovel & Probe is a must have on all our trips and a minimum knowledge of use is good to have. But we will run a few beacon clinics during your trip. If you don't own this you can rent from us. Book in advance!
You will receive an equipment packing list shortly after your deposit has arrived in our account.
